In 2013 bioenergy was the single largest energy source in Sweden and the country already reached it’s committed target for the share of renewable energy by 2020 of 49 %. A major part of that energy originates from forest biomass. During this one-day excursion we will follow the forest biomass from the forest to the combined heat and power plant Dova in Umeå managed by Umeå Energi and to the pulp & paper mill in Obbola managed by SCA, where residues are used as process energy and excess heat is liked to the district heating network and to produce “black pellets”. When: Monday 20 April Number of participant: Max 15 in the order you are signing up Sign up for the excursion by sending an e-mail to Gustaf.Egnell@slu.se More information will come. |
